We aim to be a company that enhances work,
human resources and philosophy in perfect harmony.

Since its founding in 1945, KOTOURA MANUFACTURING CORPORATION has continuously refined its processing technologies. Since the 1990s, the company has contributed to the development of the shipbuilding industry and heavy machinery industry, as well as the safety of international logistics, through its advanced processing technologies for stuffing boxes, bearings, and other products.

The shipbuilding and heavy machinery industries play a key role in achieving sustainability and green transformation (GX) in today's world, and we aim to contribute to society through proposals based on our processing technology and expertise.

In order to remain an essential company for society, we will maintain our production philosophies, “from single to mass production” and “integrated production from material procurement to sub-assembly,” and strive to become a “best partner for our customers” and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Achieving these goals requires the education of human resources. Through manufacturing, we will constantly improve our technology, knowledge, and skills, and by nurturing "manufacturing professionals who are useful to society” as many as possible, promote the transmission of technology and skills and the development of human resources. We aim to become a company that is full of pride and smiles, where we work and learn together, fostering cooperation and a desire to improve.

We make a management guideline in all member meeting every year.
The guideline contains all members opinions.

History

  • Sep.1945
    We started “KOTOURA Manufacturing Corporation” near the shrine “KO-HATIMAN-GU”.
  • 1968
    The factory was moved to the present address.
  • 1980
    The first NC Lathe machine was introduced.
    We focused on piping flanges for marine engines.
  • 1994
    We began producing "Stuffing Box" for 2-stroke marine engines
  • 2006
    We initiated to encourage employees to take the National Qualification
    for Mechanical Engineering in terms of turning, milling, finishing, NC turning,
    machining and in that year 6 employees passed.
  • 2007
    We started producing "Sliding Bearings" for turbines or compressors.
  • 2009
    We reorganized from a limited company to a stock company.
  • 2015
    New factory No.G was constructed.
  • 2016
    The number of staffs who have these National Qualifications reached 70%
    of the all staffs.
  • 2019
    We started the trade with MCO-I located in Huston.
